The American Building is a Cincinnati treasure for quality downtown living. This impressive building is internationally recognized as an excellent example of Art Deco architecture. The architects were Joseph & Bernard Steinkamp. This team created many wonderful local landmarks such as the Cincinnatian Hotel, the first administration building at Xavier University, and the Verona at Eden Park. The American is one of their best loved buildings. It was constructed in 1928. A complete renovation in 2004 converted this uniquely beautiful landmark into a premier urban address including 37 beautiful condos. The American Building is a truly fantastic urban living experience, in the heart of OTR and downtown, fronting scenic Central Parkway.
